ID 3211 Internship: Perspectives on Work (4 credits)

Interested in obtaining credit for your internship? This class is for students doing a 10-hour per week internship throughout the semester. Key goals of the class include providing structure to the student's internship experience through setting goals and expectations for the internship with their site supervisor.

Another goal is to assist students in thinking critically about their experience and how their experience provides them with invaluable insights about themselves, the world of work, and how to successfully transfer their experience, good or bad, to a future internship or full-time job.

Class assignments are designed to assist students to connect with people, beyond their supervisor, and to take what they are learning, including self-assessments and journaling, to advance their career development.

A final goal is that students will be able to use this information to begin a career after graduation that is both rewarding and a good fit.

If you have further questions about ID 3211 or if you'd like to review the course syllabus and assignments, stop in to 135 Johnston.
