What can I do with a major in...
Mathematics?
You can do a lot with this major! Mathematics majors go on to successful careers in analysis, research, business, academics, government, publishing, and much more.
Math majors can specialize in various areas: actuarial science, computer applications, preparation for teaching math in secondary school, industrial mathematics, mathematical biology, and preparation for graduate-level math studies.
A major in mathematics is available through the College of Liberal Arts (CLA) or through the Institute of Technology (IT). CLA offers a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. IT offers a Bacehlor of Science in Mathematics. The requirements and focuses are different for each. (IT math majors take more technical coursework, including physics and computer science.)
