What can I do with a major in...
Chemistry?

You can do a lot with this major! Chemistry majors go on to successful careers in many sciences, academics, politics, government, industry, publishing, research, and much more. Many Chemistry majors specialize further in graduate school.

A Chemistry degree is available through the Institute of Technology (IT) or the College of Liberal Arts (CLA). The requirements for these programs are similar. Talk to an adviser to learn more and to choose which program is right for you.

For information beyond what you find below, stop by our office in 135 Johnston Hall. Our popular "What Can I Do With a Major in ___?" binders are filled with information about every major in CLA. These binders are updated regularly and contain more information than we can provide here. When you visit, you can also get individual assistance as you explore majors and career paths.
