What can I do with a major in...
Art?

You can do a lot with this major. Art majors go on to successful careers in design, technology, advertising, education, publishing, business, and much more.

Art majors can pursue a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.). The B.A. studies studio technique and theory, as well as the history and criticism of art. The B.F.A. concentrates more intensely on technique. Focuses can include drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, book arts, sculpture, media arts, or photography. Find more information on the Department of Art site.

For information beyond what you find below, stop by the Career and Community Learning Center in 135 Johnston Hall. We have huge What Can I Do With a Major in.... ? binders, including one for every single major in CLA. We update these binders all the time, and in them you'll find more in-depth information than we can provide here. You can also get individual guidance exploring majors and career paths. Stop by.
