Current Job Title: Senior Account Manager

Organization: Gradstaff, Inc.

Brief description of your job:
I serve as a liaison between our entry level job seekers and hiring managers of various Minneapolis based companies. I interview & select the "right" candidates for entry level business positions based on the job requirements

Other job titles you have held:
Organizational Development Intern, Recruitment & Placement Manager, Account Manager

How have you found these positions?
NETWORKING!!!

What skills from your degree do you use in your current work?
Written and verbal communication skills; ability to see and understand the big picture; problem solving skills; overall resourcefulness.

How have you gained skills necessary for this job that you didn't get from your degree?
My internship was a key element Â? it helped me "connect" what I learned in the classroom with what happens in the business setting. At Gradstaff, I sought out a mentor who had been in the business setting for several years.

What advice do you have for current students?
Don't wait until you graduate to get "real world" experience.

Employers look at the whole picture, not just GPA and major. The most valuable piece of your resume is your work, professional, volunteer and leadership experience.
