Current Job Title: Research Study Coordinator II

Organization: HealthPartners Research Foundation

Brief description of your job:
Conduct research of disease prevention services to determine their effectiveness and cost-effectiveness.

Other job titles you have held:
Project Manager, Quality Improvement Analyst, MinnesotaCare Representative

How have you found these positions?
Company websites, and word of mouth from other colleagues

What skills from your degree do you use in your current work?
My psychology degree gave me the skills to understand and work with various types of people in an effective manner. Daily I use the research study design and analysis skills learned in various psychology courses.

What advice do you have for current students?
Get involved with organizations in your field(s) of interest, even when you are in college. Being involved in organizations allows you to have contacts and will help you when you are searching for a position in the field. Also many companies/organizations offer summer internships, call places you are interested in working, they may have opportunities that they do not post on their websites. This is another great way to make contacts with people who can help you find a job in the future.
