I take college textbook manuscripts and design the covers and interiors of the texts, put photo and art programs together, get input from authors and editors, hire copy editors and freelancers (if needed) and manage the manuscipts through the production and printing process.

Writing, reading and communication skills.

What advice do you have for current students?
Do as many internships and get as much job experience as you can while in school, even if it delays graduation. Work experience is valuable to employers. A variety of experience in your chosen field is attractive to employers.
