My first job out of college came through an internship I did as a senior. Professional positions followed through professional and personal networks, nonprofit and higher education job listings, and other advertising.

What skills from you degree do you use in your current work?

Analysis of texts, critical thinking, human relations, problem solving, oral and written communication, editing.

What advice do you have for current students?

Seek community connections through internships or service learning. Get experience in office settings and other environments. Seek advice from people you admire, who do things you would like to do.
