Dancer & Teacher, San Francisco Bay Area

Yayoi Kambara moved to San Francisco equipped with a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Lawrence University and B.F.A. in Dance Performance from the University of Minnesota. She has been fortunate to perform with Pearl Ubungen Dancers and Musicians, Scott Wells and Dancers, STEAMROLLER, and Deborah Slater Dance Theater. She will also be performing with Sara Shelton Mann's Contraband this winter. This is her first aerial and off ground dance experience, and she is excited to do more. When not dancing with Bay Area choreographers, she teaches children at Sanchez Elementary School, and New Traditions Elementary School. (excerpt from http://www.flyawayproductions.com/bios.html)
