Organization: Roseville Area Schools

Brief description of your job:
Manage the School District's Custodial/Engineer Division of approximately 50 employees, 1 million square feet in 11 buildings. Coordinate capital outlay projects (remodeling, repairs, etc.) and resolutions to all indoor air quality concerns.

Custodial Supervisor, Projects Coordinator, Building and Grounds Supervisor, Buildings and Ground Worker

How have you found these positions?
Through people in the field and good old want ad searches.

What skills from your degree do you use in your current work?
Verbal and written communication skills and statistics (at times). Interpersonal skills from a broadened understanding of cultural differences, SES differences, mental health issues, and gender differences. Critical thinking skills.

What advice do you have for current students?
Don't restrict your options for a career. If a recruiter calls you, check it out. Work while you are going to school, so you have job references and have a feel for what you like
