Graduate from Harvard Who is Now a Corporate Attorney

Name: Scott J. Dongoske

Major: History

Law School: Harvard

Description of your job: President, shareholder and corporate attorney.

Do you have any advice for students who are considering going to the same law school you did? Excellent choice. Must have great grades and extracurricular activities.

Is there anything in particular that you did during your undergrad that benefited you more than anything else in getting through law school and/or transitioning into the legal profession? A legal career involves a lot or reading, writing and public speaking so any classes that emphasize those attributes are a plus.

What is it like transitioning from being a law student to being a lawyer? Law school emphasizes legal research, debate and persuasive writing. In the pracice of law clients mainly want the answer without all the caveats so one has to make judgement calls rather than just point out all the possibilities.
