How many schools did you apply to? What criteria did you use in picking these schools? 8 -- only schools I actually wanted to go to. Looked at rankings, number of off-campus interviews, transferability of degree across the country, salaries of first-year graduates.

How did you prepare for the LSAT? Do you have any advice? took a prep course, studied every weekday for an hour and every weekend day for three hours for three months; took practice tests every week.

What strategies did you use in networking with the professors and employers who wrote letters of recommendation for you? took their classes.

How did you go about writing your personal statement? How much did you change your personal statement to fit each school? Wrote about something personal and representative of who I am; had many people read it. Didn't change it much from school to school.

If you had a chance to go through the process again, is there anything you would have done differently? Looked for outside scholarship aid.

Is law school like you expected it would be? Why or why not? It's better than I thought it would be.

Any final advice? Think about what you want out of law school before going. Is it worth the price? What do you want to do after graduating? That will determine whether you'll want to spend more on a better school or go to a lower-ranked school that costs less. And don't go to school expecting to be handed a well-paying job, especially if you go a lower-ranked school.
