Name: Robb H

Major: Psychology

Law School: William Mitchell College of Law

How many schools did you apply to? What criteria did you use in picking these schools? I applied to nine schools. I used both reputation and location as my search criteria.

How did you prepare for the LSAT? Do you have any advice? I studied one of the L-Sat practice booklets and took many practice exams.

What strategies did you use in networking with the professors and employers who wrote letters of recommendation for you? I simply e-mailed and asked if they would write me a letter of recommendation. I choose people who I knew would know me pretty well enough to write a recommendation letter.

How did you go about writing your personal statement? How much did you change your personal statement to fit each school? After looking at other examples, I wrote it based on how I really felt about going to law school. I changed it very little to fit each school.

If you had a chance to go through the process again, is there anything you would have done differently? prepared for the L-Sat sooner.

Is law school like you expected it would be? Why or why not? Yes, it's a lot of work, however the socratic method is not used or as brutal as I was lead to believe it would be.
